We are Submarine Veterans who reside in the Puget Sound Area

The Pacific Northwest Submarine Heritage Association
was established in June of 1997 with the mission to: "Install
a sense of pride and discovery in the Submarine Force of
today, celebrate it's heritage, and educate for tomorrow."


	The Associations Mission:

To celebrate and showcase to submariners and the American people the proud heritage of the Submarine Force, to demonstrate the pride and professionalism of today's force, and to forge a path toward the force of tomorrow.

Educate our submariners, civilians, and community. Preserve our heritage and tradition. Promote our- selves through a proactive means. Celebrate our past and future, when appropriate.

	In order to meet these goals, Focus Groups are being established for each of the four goals in order to determine the best course of action to accomplish them. In each case the Focus Groups will be addressing: What can be done; The best way to do it; And who we need to help us. 	Determine target groups and type of training that can be accomplished.

	Establish subcommittees for preservation projects such Deterrent Park and determine content, design, cost, and funding.

	We celebrated the 100 years of Submarine Force Presence on April of 2000. We had the 3500th Strategic Submarine Deterrent Patrol Commemoration and Deterrent Opening Ceremony on 25 May 2001.
